TDHCA releases Elections Under IRC, Affirmative Marketing rules for public comment
Under Tex. Gov’t Code Sec. 2001.039, which requires that state agencies review a rule every four years to assess whether the reasons for initially adopting the rule continue to exist, these sections are now required to be evaluated. Staff has determined that there is a continuing need for these rules to exist and that no revisions are currently warranted. The Secretary of State requires that even when no revisions are proposed, the rule be released for a public comment period. Therefore, the rule will be made available for public comment from February 23, 2024, through March 23, 2024, and returned to the Board for final approval.

TDHCA announcement regarding the treatment of assets under affordable housing programs
TDHCA will allow developments under the Housing Tax Credit program to self-certify household assets if the total value of net family assets is equal to or less than $50,000.
TDHCA posts recording of the Adjusted Income Training
The Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) Compliance Division offered a live webinar on Adjusted Income on January 12, 2024. The webinar discussed the impact of adjusted income on the following Department programs: HOME, HOME-ARP, TCAP RF, Section 811 and Tenant Based Rental Assistance.
TDHCA posts version 2024.3 of the Multifamily Uniform Application
TDHCA’s Multifamily Finance Division posted an updated version of the 2024 Multifamily Uniform Application. Version 2024.3 contains several minor updates and technical fixes. All changes are outlined in the version’s release notes.
