About the TAAHP Foundation
Established in 2022, the TAAHP Foundation is dedicated to expanding educational and economic opportunity for residents of affordable housing in Texas. By providing scholarships for tuition, books and other educational needs, the TAAHP Foundation helps make pursuing a higher education possible — creating pathways to long-term economic mobility.
Board of Directors
The TAAHP Foundation is governed by a volunteer board of directors made up of members of the Texas Affiliation of Affordable Housing providers. The organization’s bylaws reserve a board seat for a former scholarship recipient.

Nearly $1 Million in Scholarships Awarded

Scholarship Program
The TAAHP Foundation Scholarship Application Committee awards scholarships to recognize high school seniors and technical school or college students who actively reside in affordable housing properties owned by a TAAHP member and have pursued academic or technical excellence. These awards are intended to provide financial assistance to student residents attaining their educational and career goals. Scholarships are funded by TAAHP affiliated fundraising events and its membership.
TAAHP Foundation Scholarships Are Changing Lives
Scholarships are opening doors for students living in affordable housing across Texas. By easing the cost of education, they help students focus on their studies, pursue their goals, and build brighter futures for themselves and their families. Every scholarship is more than financial support—it’s a chance to thrive, create new opportunities, and strengthen communities across the state.
Hear directly from students living in affordable housing across Texas as they share how scholarships are helping them pursue higher education. Their stories show what becomes possible when financial support meets determination—and how a scholarship can bring students one step closer to their goals and a brighter future.
