According to comments in a recent TAAHP webinar, TDHCA refers to a rule in the 2024 QAP that allows applicants to request a waiver before submitting the full application, which is due on March 1st. If submitted early, TDHCA staff would present the waiver request at the January or February board meetings. Developers might find this beneficial since it would allow them to see how the board would vote on their waiver before they submit their application. Waiver requests on Competitive 9% HTC Applications will not be accepted after applications are submitted. For more information, email Cody Campbell.
