Two affordable housing apartment communities are currently under construction in Corpus Christi, but the city says the need more to meet the growing demand and to address the affordable housing crisis in the area.
According to Rudy Betencourt, director for housing and community development for the City of Corpus Christi, says they need to be building at least 200 affordable apartment homes per year to keep up with growth.
