The owner of Wood Bayou Apartments in Houston has provided proper notice of intent and requests that the TDHCA find a qualified buyer.

The Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) has posted to its website several new items pertaining to the 2024 9% Housing Tax Credit (HTC) cycle.

TDHCA posted a recording of a webinar hosted on February 9, 2024, covering the new and previous Compliance Forms used in tenant files to determine income and program eligibility.

The Supportive Services presentation will cover all programs that require Supportive Services. Directly after the webinar, TDHCA's Compliance staff will be available for questions

Under Tex. Gov't Code Sec. 2001.039, which requires that state agencies review a rule every four years to assess whether the reasons for initially adopting the rule continue to exist, these sections are now required to be evaluated. Staff has determined that there is a continuing need for these rules to exist and that no revisions are currently warranted. The Secretary of State requires that even when no revisions are proposed, the rule be released for a public comment period. Therefore, the rule will be made available for public comment from February 23, 2024, through March 23, 2024, and returned to the Board for final approval.

TDHCA will allow developments under the Housing Tax Credit program to self-certify household assets if the total value of net family assets is equal to or less than $50,000.
