The Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) Compliance Division has posted on the TDHCA website a training presentation held January 24, 2023, on Utility Allowance Methodologies. The Utility Allowance Training provides a solid foundation on the seven available methodologies as outlined in 10 TAC Section 10.614 and covers the following:
- Rural Development
- HUD Issued Utility Allowances
- Public Housing Authority (PHA) Methodology
- Written Local Estimate (WLE)
- Energy Consumption Model (ECM)
- Actual Use Methodology
- HUD Utility Schedule Model (HUSM)
