The Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) Compliance Division will present a training on Utility Allowance Methodologies on January 24, 2023, starting at 9 a.m., Austin local time. The training is expected to last approximately three hours.
The Utility Allowance Training provides a solid foundation of the seven available methodologies as outlined in 10 TAC Section 10.614 and covers the following:
- Rural Development
- HUD-Issued Utility Allowances
- Public Housing Authority (PHA) Methodology
- Written Local Estimate (WLE)
- Energy Consumption Model (ECM)
- Actual Use Methodology
- HUD Utility Schedule Model (HUSM)
