TDHCA released the Texas Emergency Mortgage Assistance Program (TEMAP) Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) on January 29, 2021
Based on guidance from HUD, the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDCHA) has posted a revised Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) for the CDBG CARES Texas Emergency Mortgage Assistance Program (TEMAP), and the associated Program Guidelines with three updates related to the types of mortgage loans allowed and the lead-based paint requirements.
The TEMAP program will provide funds for cities, counties, local and regional nonprofits, and regional organizations to provide mortgage assistance to homeowners at or below 80% of the Area Medium Income who have been economically impacted by COVID-19 in order to help provide housing stability during the pandemic. TEMAP NOFA applications are due on April 12, 2021.
