On May 1, 2026, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) released the 2026 Section 8 income limits, which are used for the Section 811 Project Rental Assistance (811 PRA) program. A PDF with the limits is posted at https://www.tdhca.texas.gov/income-and-rent-limits.

The posted limits are specific to the Metropolitan Statistically Areas (MSAs) in which the 811 PRA program has participating multifamily properties. These new limits are effective May 1, 2026, for all Move-In and Initial Certifications effective on or after this date. The income limits reflect the Very Low Income or 30% AMI based on household size.
