The Multifamily Finance Division of the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) held a meeting for the 2020 Qualified Allocation Plan (QAP) on Wednesday, May 22, 2019. The agenda for this meeting included discussing QAP items relating to energy and water efficiency in developments.

At that meeting, stakeholders requested that the Department organize a workgroup to discuss possible revisions to the QAP to encourage a greater degree of energy and water efficiency in developments that receive TDHCA funds. Staff is first starting that workgroup in digital format on the Department’s Online Forum. Based on responses in the Forum, staff may schedule another roundtable at a later date.
