The Multifamily Finance division of TDHCA is pleased to announce availability of the Request for Preliminary Determination (RPD) for Multifamily Financing Direct Loan (MFDL) described at 10 TAC Section 11.8(d) and Section 11.9(e)(1). This RPD is applicable to 9% Low Income Housing Tax Credit applications layered with MFDL when MFDL is contemplated as the only permanent lender. The RPD is not applicable to MFDL construction-only, 4% Housing Tax Credit applications or Direct Loan-only applications.

Completed RPDs must be received by the Department on February 12, 2021, for the 2021 Uniform Application Cycle. The completed RPD may be submitted through the Application’s ServU folder, if available, or directly to MFDL staff. The Department will complete RPD evaluations and communicate results no later than February 24, 2021.  The Department’s RPD evaluation should be submitted under Section 11.8(d) behind Tab 34, Financing Sources, in the 2021 Uniform Multifamily Application to receive points.
