The Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) Asset Management division wants Owners and Agents to know that the deadline to submit the Cost Certification package for 9% Competitive Housing Tax Credit Developments with a Credit Period starting in 2024 is January 15, 2025.
The Department revised the deadline to submit the Cost Certification package for Tax-Exempt Bond Developments to May 15 of the year following the first year of the Credit Period. Tax-Exempt Bond Developments with a Credit Period beginning in 2024 must submit the Cost Certification package by May 15, 2025.
If the cost certification submission deadline cannot be met, an extension may be requested. The request must explain the reason an extension is needed, identify the revised submission deadline date requested, and if applicable, include a copy of the extension fee check. Extension requests submitted at least 30 calendar days in advance of the original deadline will not be required to submit an extension fee.
