The Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) is pleased to announce a Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) for 2024 Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) Discretionary funds. TDHCA is seeking applications from organizations with established experience in serving the reentry population by helping previously incarcerated individuals in obtaining rental housing through landlord incentives, payment of security deposits, and other reentry activities related to housing.
On November 11, TDHCA posted to its website a blacklined version of the 2024 Qualified Allocation Plan (QAP) that was adopted, with some revisions, at the meeting of the Governing Board held on November 9, 2023.
As of November 9, the AHCIA has reached 180 cosponsors in the House, maintaining strong bipartisan support with 90 Republicans and 90 Democrats.
