The Annex Group is developing a $91 million mixed-income housing project in San Antonio, called Central at Commerce, located at 1231 E. Commerce St. The development will include 279 units with one to three bedrooms, offering rents between 30% and 70% of the area median income.
According to the San Antonio Business Journal, the group is seeking 4% low-income housing tax credits through the Texas Department of Community Affairs, aiming to secure $41 million in tax credits over ten years. Additionally, they qualify for $6 million in gap funding from San Antonio’s 2022 affordable housing bond. Construction is expected to start next year.
