In honor of TAAHP’s 25th anniversary, Texas Senator Jose Menendez issued a resolution at TAAHP’s 25th Anniversary Holiday Party & Scholarship Fundraiser event on December 7th. TAAHP celebrated with over 200 of its members and special guests, including TDHCA board members and staff.

The Resolution is as follows:

WHEREAS, The Texas Affiliation of Affordable Housing Providers is celebrating its 25th anniversary with a holiday party and scholarship fundraiser on December 7, 2022, in Austin; and

WHEREAS, Established in 1997, TAAHP is a nonprofit trade association serving professional involved in financing, design, development, and management of affordable housing communities in Texas; the organization was founded with the goal of increasing the supply and quality of residential units for those with limited incomes and special needs; and

WHEREAS, In addition to advocating for the availability of affordable housing, TAAHP is dedicated to educating its members on key issues facing the housing industry; the organization is made up of a attorney, accountants, investors, developers, property management companies, finance corporations, government entities, and trade associations; these individuals, organizations, and businesses are making a positive difference by helping to grow the number of affordable residences in the Lone Star State; and

WHEREAS, Over the past quarter century, TAAHP has benefited numerous Texans by providing greater access to quality housing, and the organization is truly deserving of recognition as it marks this special milestone in history; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the Texas Affiliation of Affordable Housing Providers be congratulated on its 25th anniversary and that all those associated with the organization be extended sincere best wishes for the future.
