According to a recent story in the Austin-American Statesman, San Antonio-based non-profit, Endeavors, is distributing rent relief to low-income residents earning at or below 50 percent of their area’s median income who are struggling to pay rent due to the impact of the COVID19 pandemic. Eligible residents living in dozens of designated counties can receive up to 12-months of assistance. The group will work with applicants’ landlords directly to help residents avoid eviction. These funds will help those who qualify by providing immediate housing, rental and utility payments, and assistance with rental and utility arrears.
According to the group’s website, there is a current wait time of three to six weeks.
