On July 17, 2019, President Trump declared that a major disaster exists in the State of Texas, and ordered federal assistance to supplement state and local recovery efforts in the areas affected by severe storms and flooding that occurred from June 24 to June 25, 2019. The President’s action makes federal funding for Individual Assistance available to affected individuals in the counties of Cameron, Hidalgo, and Willacy.
Revenue Procedure 2014-49 provides relief to Housing Tax credit (HTC) properties impacted by presidentially declared disasters from carryover through the compliance period. The Revenue procedure is on TDHCA’s website: http://www.tdhca.state.tx.us/pmcomp/casualty-loss/declared-disaster.htm.
If your property is in service and has been damaged by this disaster, within the next 30 days, please inform TDHCA through the use of the “Notice of property Damage (DR-4454)” form which can be found on this page of TDHCA’s website at: http://www.tdhca.state.tx.us/pmcomp/casualty-loss/disaster-loss.htm. The form should be uploaded to your CMTS account.
