Over the last year, the National Council of State Housing Agencies (NCSHA) and a Task Force of executive directors from our member Housing Finance Agencies (HFA), led by Jake Sipe (IN) and Kim Herman (WA), have been working on revisions and additions to NCSHA’s Recommended Practices in Housing Credit administration.  This is our latest of several efforts over the years to review and revise our Recommended Practices, which NCSHA first established in 1993.  These Recommended Practices cover all areas of state administration of the Housing Credit program, including development, underwriting, and compliance.

We now look to the Housing Credit industry for your comments on the Task Force’s recommendations, which all HFAs have had the opportunity to review at various stages of their development.  We strongly value our partners working on the Housing Credit program in all capacities, including developers, investors, advocates, syndicators, consultants, and service professionals, and we look forward to your input.

Please send your comments to NCSHA Assistant Director for Tax Policy and Advocacy Jennifer Schwartz at [email protected] no later than COB on Friday, August 11.
