WASHINGTON–Sept. 11, 2017–The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) today published in the Federal Register its list of 2018 qualified census tracts (QCTs) and difficult development areas (DDAs) , which are eligible for as much as a 30 percent boost in basis while receiving low-income housing tax credits (LIHTCs). The 2018 QCTs and DDAs are effective for allocations of LIHTCs beginning Jan. 1, 2018, and for bond-financed properties for properties where the bonds are issued and the building is placed in service beginning
Jan. 1, 2018.
