Survey: 68% of Austinites Say More Affordable Housing is Needed
The City of Austin’s community survey found that 68 percent of Austin residents believe more affordable housing is needed.
Texans Spending Too Much on Housing
Texans say they are spending too much on housing. New statewide poll results released found nearly half of Texas adults say it is difficult for them to find affordable housing in the area where they live, and a similar share believe they spend too much of their income on housing. The independent poll was conducted by the Texas Lyceum, the 40-year-old nonprofit, nonpartisan leadership organization.
Texas Senate IGR Public Hearing: 86th Legislative Interim
Late last year, the Texas Senate released their 86th Interim Legislative Charges for each of their committees. For the Senate Intergovernmental Relations (IGR) committee, a review of the (LI)HTC program was listed as the committee’s top priority.
