Lora Myrick, Betco Housing Lab
Lora Myrick, president of Housing Lab by Betco, has twenty-four years of experience with implementing, ensuring compliance and managing funds for various federal, state and conventional housing programs including HOME, CDBG, Housing Tax Credits and State Housing Trust Fund for both the state of Oklahoma and Texas. She served as Director of Program Services, HOME Program Manager and Team Lead for compliance at the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs and with the Oklahoma Housing Finance Agency. She has experience with Fair Housing, Loan/Grant/Contract administration and compliance, HUD CPD Program regulations, and Housing Tax Credits. She also holds various certifications for HOME and Housing Tax Credits. She has monitored for compliance with Fair Housing Act, ADA requirements and Section 504 for various federal and state programs. Fluent in Spanish in both written and oral forms.
Jen Brewerton, Dominium, Inc.
Jen Brewerton is the Vice President of Compliance for Dominium. At over 34,000 units, operating in 22 different states, Dominium is one of the nation’s largest and most innovative affordable housing development and management companies. Dominium added 7,000 units in 2018, mostly through resyndications, and is on track to do the same for 2019. Dominium’s goal moving forward is to implement Income Averaging on as many of our new properties as possible. Ms. Brewerton is responsible for determining and implementing all affordable program policy and procedures for Dominium. Prior to joining Dominium, Ms. Brewerton has held a variety of influential positions in her field, including almost 10 years with Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) overseeing the Housing Tax Credit, Bond, HOME and Housing Trust Fund programs. After leaving TDHCA, Mr. Brewerton held senior positions at CohnReznick, Capstone Management, and Southwest Housing Compliance Corporation, a Project Based Section 8 Contract Administrator for the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Ms. Brewerton received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Texas at Austin, and currently serves on the board of the Texas Association of Affordable Housing Providers and is Chair of the Compliance and Post-award Rules committee.
Rosalio Banuelos, TDHCA
Rosalio Banuelos is the Director of Multifamily Asset Management at TDHCA. He joined TDHCA in 2007 as a Cost Certification Specialist in the Real Estate Analysis Division and transferred to the Asset Management Division in 2012. He has been in his current position since August 2018, where he is responsible for the oversight of post-award activities for multifamily properties funded by TDHCA. Rosalio earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from St. Edward’s University.
Marni Holloway, TDHCA
Marni Holloway is Director of the Multifamily Finance Division at TDHCA. She joined TDHCA in 2009, working on the Neighborhood Stabilization Program. She moved to her current position in September, 2015, where she is responsible for oversight of the Department’s allocation and award process for Housing Tax Credits and Loan funds. Ms. Holloway has more than 15 years’ experience real estate finance and afford able housing production. She attended St. Edward’s University.
Tom Schneider, Dauby O’Connor & Zaleski, LLC
Tom Schneider is an audit senior manager in the Austin, Texas office of Dauby, O’Connor & Zaleski, LLC. Since 2007, Mr. Schneider has specialized in providing audit and tax consulting services to clients in the rental real estate industry, with a focus on those that utilize the low-income housing tax credit (LIHTC) program. Prior to joining DOZ, Tom worked as an audit and tax manager for the Austin, Texas office of a national accounting firm. He has extensive experience with multi-family housing partnerships, specifically development work specific to the LIHTC program. He has also provided tax consulting services to clients with respect to partnership dissolution and partnership interest transfers. Mr. Schneider also has experience with properties financed by tax-exempt bonds and properties subject to the auditing requirements of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
