Supply chain issues are wreaking havoc on the construction industry. Join us for this Executive Management Series round table discussion as we take a deep dive into the fundamentals impacting the availability of materials, the current construction market, learn more about the increasing pressures on construction materials pricing, and get an understanding of how construction contractors are pricing developments in today’s environment.

Participants will be able to engage in a thoughtful discussion of potential strategies to manage development projects and how to engage and educate policy makers about long-term solutions.

Richard joined Spring Valley Construction Company is 1997 and has over 46 years of experience in the construction industry. His vast knowledge and excelled leadership skills enable him to oversee Spring Valley Construction Company’s Estimating Department with great success. Clients continuously value his budgeting preparation skills and trust in his abilities to provide accurate information for their projects. Some of his most notable project experiences include the multi-phase retail projects Epic Towne Crossing in Grand Prairie and Arlington Highlands Shopping Center, The Texas Clinic at Prestonwood in Plano, TX, as well as several medical facilities, office buildings and multi-family residential developments throughout North Texas.

Evionne Silver is the Vice President of Installed Business at Builders FirstSource. She is responsible for creating best practices and procedures for installation and multi-family business leaders to uncover and address opportunities for sales and productivity growth. Evionne facilitates shared learning and resource utilization while seamlessly integrating the company’s core values across all lines of installed and multi-family business. This includes supporting corporate initiatives and programs around sales, innovation, IT, safety and various key training programs.

Prior to the merger of Builders FirstSource and BMC Stock Holdings (BMC) in January 2021, Evionne was the Colorado area manager for BMC. She previously held the titles of intermountain division business manager and Colorado market administrative manager throughout her 17-year tenure with BMC. Evionne has worked in the building materials and construction industry for over 20 years, starting in human resources & accounting for a family-owned lumber yard with a 125-year history in Colorado Springs.

Evionne holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Utah and earned a master’s in business administration from the University of Phoenix. She has been married to her wonderful husband, Travis, for 25 years and has two extraordinary children – a son who works as a biomedical engineer in Boston and a daughter studying civil engineering at the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago.

Bret Dewey, the VP of Millwork & Specialty Products Supply Chain for Builders First Source, brings over 34 years of Millwork Industry experience to the table. After growing up in Ontario, Oregon and graduating from BYU, Bret’s career has taken him from Sales to Operations & Supply Chain in roles both domestic and international (including 6 years in Chile), giving him a rare perspective and insight into the full Millwork supply chain. Together with his work ethic, leadership abilities, he has built a proven record in leading successful turnarounds.  Bret is currently focused on managing a complex supply chain to ensure BFS’s continued leadership as the top Millwork supplier in the industry during such an unprecedented time as this.

Bret is passionate about his faith, his family, and BYU sports (not necessarily in that order). In his free time, he likes to hike and take family vacations to visit his 7 kids and soon-to-be 3 grandkids who are spread out across the country.
