WHAT’S NEW

Based on continuing assessments of guidance from federal, state and local health authorities, the U.S. Census Bureau is suspending 2020 Census field operations for two additional weeks until April 15th. The Census Bureau is taking this step to help protect the health and safety of the American public, Census Bureau employees, and everyone who will go through the hiring process for temporary census taker positions. The public can still respond to the 2020 census online, by phone and by mail; however, in response to the health and safety concerns related to COVID-19, reduced staffing of Census Call Centers is leading to significant delays in some instances.  These delays are slightly increased in languages other than English and Spanish.
